Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 11, 2026
This policy explains how Gharsuchi uses cookies and browser storage on our platform.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and improve your browsing experience. Gharsuchi uses both cookies and browser localStorage for similar purposes.
Strictly Necessary
These cannot be disabled as the site would not function without them. • sb-access-token — Stores your login session so you stay signed in. • sb-refresh-token — Automatically renews your session without requiring you to log in again. Both are set by Supabase (our authentication provider), are HttpOnly and Secure, and expire automatically.
Preference Storage (localStorage)
We use your browser's localStorage (not cookies) to remember preferences that don't need to be sent to our server: • language — Remembers whether you prefer English or Nepali. • theme — Remembers your light or dark mode choice. • gs_trans_* — Caches translated text so we don't re-translate the same content repeatedly, reducing API calls. These are purely local to your browser and are never sent to our servers.
No Tracking or Advertising Cookies
Gharsuchi does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
How to manage cookies?
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies means you will not be able to stay signed in. To clear localStorage, use browser DevTools → Application → Local Storage.
